   My kids somehow changed the password on our computer and they don’t even know how they did it, much less what the password is, please help

     Well it depends on if you mean when your computer starts from booting and doesnt let you get anywhere just a black screen requesting a password….then its a bios password.
     If Windows loads and at the logon screen with an account name listed requests a password below the profile icon….then its a user password for that account.

     Please specify which so I amy help further.
